Jordan Summons Iranian Diplomat Over Attacks on Its Territory

(MENAFN) Jordan’s Foreign Ministry summons the charge d’affaires of Iran’s embassy in Amman on Sunday, lodging a formal protest over attacks affecting Jordanian territory and other Arab nations, according to statements cited by reports.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Fouad Al-Majali says that Amman demands an immediate halt to the attacks, respect for Jordan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and adherence to international law and principles of good neighborliness. He emphasizes that Jordan will take all necessary measures to protect its citizens and defend national sovereignty.

Earlier in the day, the Interior Ministry reports 73 incidents involving falling objects and missile debris across the country as Iran retaliates against US and Israeli strikes. No injuries are reported.
