Donald Tusk Urges Immediate Exit from Iran
“Please leave Iran immediately and under no circumstances travel to this country,” Tusk told reporters in the town of Zielonka near Warsaw. “I do not want to alarm anyone, but we all know what I am referring to. The possibility of a conflict is very real.”
The prime minister stressed that the opportunity to evacuate could vanish swiftly. “In a few, a dozen, or several dozen hours, evacuation may no longer be possible,” he said, encouraging Polish citizens to treat the warning with utmost seriousness.
Authorities in Poland have not disclosed the number of Polish nationals currently present in Iran. The country’s Foreign Ministry is anticipated to release additional instructions in the coming days.
Tusk also recalled earlier situations in which evacuation advisories were disregarded, leading to grave outcomes. “We have bad experiences,” he said. “Some people underestimate such appeals.”
According to various sources and media accounts, United States and Tel Aviv appear to be nearing another armed standoff with Iran, despite ongoing discussions surrounding Tehran’s nuclear activities.
In June 2025, Israel and Iran engaged in a 12-day conflict, during which the United States carried out airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.
